Oh no, she's going away..

"Bless you, Gail. Gesundheit."

"What??"

Oh, I thought I heard Gail sneezing, but my mistake, it seems she was just practicing saying 'please'. In Polish. And there was silly old me, worried she might be ill.

The truth is worse. Much worse.

I am shortly going to be abandoned.

Home (almost) alone for a fortnight, with only Marie-Therese to feed and water and cuddle me, and keep me company at night, and give me treats. And Yvonne and Aaron to take me for afternoon walkies. And sometimes Margaret too. Who may give me more treats. Oh and maybe some extra walks from Neil at weekends.

How can Gail be so cruel?

I'm sure I'd enjoy a holiday Poland. I would be an asset, don't you think? I travel well, I absolutely love exploring new places, people like talking to me. It would be an excellent opportunity to further develop my role as special canine ambassador for Scotland.

And truly, I speak the Polish language at least as well as Gail.

PS I may have to take a break from blogging for a couple weeks, due to the unavailability of technical support.

Now, now, Hamish, it sounds to me as if Gail is leaving you in the very best of hands and you should have a fine time with Marie Therese and your neighbors who will look after you. She must be going for work, who would go to Poland this time of the year otherwise. You should probably feel sorry for Gail!

I'll send you some ESP messages every single day until she is back. See if you get them!

Kisses,
Stella

Oh Hamish, I'll miss you! I look forward to all your lovely walks around Scotland and with Gail around town. I keep looking for some fried Pizza. Maybe Marie Therese or one of the other minders will get you some? Surely they aren't all health foodie types? I mean, after all, you are being abandoned and need comfort foodies. Maybe some yummy mac n cheese?
See you soon!

Oh Hamish, this is too bad! We think you should certainly go to Poland - after all you can fit in a rucksack!
Gail would make so many more of the 'right' sort of friends if you were with her.
We dogs have a way of sorting out the humans.
Poland would love you and you promote such a positive image of Scotland.
Perhaps Gail will have a rethink but if not at least you will avoid all that waiting in queues.
These humans intent on travel spend the majority of time just standing in lines waiting - so you will avoid all that.
You will be out in the countryside having lovely walks.
Getting extra cuddles and treats cos they will all feel sorry for you.
Hmmm come to think of it staying at home might not be so bad.
love

Hey there Hamish buddy!
Looks like we are going to be in the same boat, i.e. Both missing Gail immensely. We so love your blog, so this means that there will be a huge hole in our hearts whilst Gail is away. We'll be waiting to hear from you in the weeks ahead.
Have a fun time with your caregivers, dear Hamish and please don't forget us. We love you!
Please wish Gail well from all of us.
Lots of licks

We hope Gail has a safe trip. It sounds like things will work fine for you - all of those people to work your magic on that will give you extra treats because they feel so sorry for you.

Hamish. We think you should be able to go. We think it should be an expectation that you do go. But humans don't always see things the way they oughtta. (Their loss.) But maybe it's a good thing. We're thinkin' Polish sausages might be a little bad for an old guy's belly (not sayin' your old, or anything) and you KNOW how tempting they'd be to snatch up on your walkies. Ask for Gail to bring you some very special sort of souvenir and expect postcards.

Thanks for visiting our bloggie and leaving a note about Teddy and his RescueAngelCheryl. We appreciate it, and we know Cheryl does, too.

Love,
Jake and Fergi (can we come visit while Gail's gone? We can bring Rocky Mountain Oysters. They won't upset your belly) xxoo

Isn't it terrible that they plan these things without us?

Poor Hamish. Gail must of taken leave of her senses leaving you. Still. You seem to have you own fan club looking after you. Expect a canny laddie like you can get them to take you for deep fried Mars bars followed by a tot of the fine stuff. Mmmmmm maybe I'll wag up there and join you.
