Beaglemania

Well what an exciting weekend! I met up with the world famous blogging Beagles of Dughallmor, and they were kind enough to show me their favourite place, Roseisle Forest and beach. Just beautiful! And for once Gail remembered  to bring her camera along AND to take some photos too, so today I'll let the pictures do most of the talking.

Those young beagles can run so much faster than me, so I was a bit slow to realise that there were treats on offer on this walk....

But I caught up eventually. It's not like me to miss out on food after all..
At one point I even took the lead, spurred on by the thought of more treats (Gail, take note!)
And by the end of the walk I was showing those young pups a trick or two...I think they look suitably impressed.
Just a final word for Petey in New York (if he can spare a minute from rehearsals that is).  You may have noticed that your young Rosie here is on a lead. Apparently she'd staged a disappearing act the previous evening- I think she may have been searching for you.

What a great post! Thanks for meeting us, we really enjoyed it :D
Errm....world famous? Haha....you may not know it Hamish but you're something of a superstar yourself!
And we loved your little jig at the end of our walk....not so much a sword dance as an i'll-do-anything-for-that-treat-dance!
We must do it again sometime :o)

Hi Hamish,

I'm one of the Beagle's blog friends and after reading all about trip together on their blog, thought I'd come over and say hello! Loved all your photos. Wish I could meet up with some of my blog friends too but I live at the end of the world!!

Do come over and visit me sometime -

Slobbers,
Honey the Great Dane

Hi Hamish
Loved your pictures! That beach is just gorgeous! You looked very wise and mature in your photos and I particularly liked the one where you were showing those beagles a trick or two!
Thank goodness that Rosie had her lead on - we would never have heard the end of it from Petey if the two of you had run off and got lost together.
That once happened to Bailey.......
best not go into that!
love and kisses

Wooo Hamish, it looks as though you did show those youngsters a trick or two for treats! It can be hard on us older dogs to keep up, but we are smarter!
I am glad you had fun.

Hamish,

It looks like you had a marvelous time keeping up with the hounds. Always good to teach them a new trick or two (and it seems like Miss Gabbi took a liking to an older man, leading her down the garden-or beach-path...)

Not to worry, I'm sending Rosie a mobile cellbone so she can call me anytime and won't have to go wandering off to find a public phone.

Definitely working some of your moves into the movie...

Your pal,

Petey
